Choosing to see the glass half full or half empty can be a conscious choice. One that can make all the difference.
So when you see thorns and roses, do your worry about the thorns or complain about them? Or do you celebrate that they have roses?
Choosing to see the good is a conscious choice I still catch myself making. Someday I hope it will be completely automatic, just not yet. I do know when I see the glass half full, or celebrate that thorns have roses, my heart is lighter and the sun seems to be shining more brightly.
More than that, though, optimism and a positive outlook have been associated with happiness, health, wellness and success. Aren’t those four good reasons to consciously choose to be happy?
