Alzheimer's and Dementia
The Purple Angel Project is raising awareness, hope and empowerment for everyone living with dementia, their families, friends and care partners/caregivers/carers.
The Purple Angel guards those living with dementia and those raising awareness about it. The Purple Angel symbol includes a globe because this is a global movement.
Dementia Aware is businesses and individuals raising awareness about dementia.
The Alzheimer’s Association provides information about Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia, supports research and strives to end dementia including Alzheimer’s while improving care.
The Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA), formed by a group of caregivers who met in an online Lewy Body Dementias (LBD) caregiver support group, and is dedicated to raising awareness of the LBD, supporting people with LBD, their families and caregivers and promoting scientific advances.

Jiminy Wicket connects those living with dementia through the game of croquet. Its award-winning Through Hoops to Hope croquet programs create ongoing, inter-generational connection and smiles between students and people who have Alzheimer’s disease.
Puzzle With Me™ is a focused activity that helps the caregivers, families and friends to spend time engaging with the individual with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia. The puzzles are designed with older adults with dementia in mind.
Second Wind Dreams is an international, nonprofit organization dedicated to changing the perception of aging through the fulfillment of dreams and the offering of educational programs including its flagship, sensitivity training, the Virtual Dementia Tour®.
The Rosalyn Carter Institute for Caregiving is an advocacy, education, research, and service unit of Georgia Southwestern State University. It establishes local, state and national partnerships committed to building quality,long-term, home and community-based services.
